@emmaboittiaux
Emma Boittiaux is an artist and award-winning photographer born in Normandy, France, and currently based in London. She graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2017. Her image from her series ‘Take Care Of Your Brother’ won her the prestigious Portrait Of Britain in 2023.
Her research intertwined photography, textile, embroidery and writing to explore topics such as brotherhood or sexual violence. With a warm and tender approach to any theme, she delves into, with the aim of creating dialogues. The notion of care is central in her work and is woven into every step of her practice from the topic in itself, to her meticulous embroidery work and to the way she photographs others.
